Staffordshire bull terriers, affectionately known as “Staffies” are outstanding pets. It’s mutual knowledge. If you own one of these terrifi animals or plan to fetch home one then you will do well to learn when it comes to their temperament, attitude, and conduct. This will help you housebreak the dog, keep it healthy, and be a responsible pet parent. The Staffordshire bull terrier is a gregarious, fun loving animal that would rather run rather than walk. It’s as muscular as they come and packs more in it is mid-sized frame than you could imagine. He’s of a friendly disposition but will not think twice before getting into a scrap, in particular with more spectacular animals. These are courageous animals and you are better off having them on leash when you take them out for a walk. This will likewise keep them safe from traffic; these are curious animals and you don’t want them to get hurt in their exuberance to explore. The key to ensuring healthful conduct with a Staffordshire bull terrier is good socialization. You have to be convinced in your approach with the animal and give it proper obeisance training. Staffies are amidst the very few dog breeds that will not only adjust nicely with other pets but also with kids. Yes, they are great for families with children. To top it all, these animals will adjust nicely even in apartments. They are also open to learning; they may learn a lot of things. Proper training is the key. Staffies yearn for company; they reciprocate love with dedication and affection. The pretty thing with Staffies is that they all come with their own distinguishable personalities; they will percentage a good deal of mutual traits but each dog is going to be dissimilar and that makes pet parenting so enjoyable. They’ll jump, nuzzle, and lick you to show their affection. And it does not take them long to get along with no problems or difficulties with strangers. In fact, these dogs have such a pretty nature that it kind of disqualifies them from guard dog duty. They are more suitable to be magnificent associate dogs. In fact, this breed is one of the best all-purpose dogs out there. It is not a noisy dog, so you won’t be facing your neighbor’s ire as without doubt some dog owners have to because of their pets yapping at unearthly hours. As cited earlier, apartment owners too may have these dogs as pets. They are clean animals and don’t take a lot of space. The animal may turn reclusive and headstrong if deprived of love and exercise. Give it both or you’ll have a lot of stuff at home chomped up by these strong-willed and strong-jawed canines. Remember, the Staffordshire bull terrier is not a pit bull terrier; the latter has received bad press for aggressiveness. You may or may not want to fetch home a cross among the two, it’s your choice. |
