The Cigar Oasis’s power cord is a paper-thin acrylic ribbon designed to fit snuggly through any humidor lid seal in the rear, out of sight. Difference Between Cigar Oasis XL and Cigar Oasis XL-Plus: The main deviations among these great merchandise is the available power choices for each unit and the size of the distilled water cartridges. The Cigar Oasis XL comes finish with a battery pack (4 AA batteries included with unit) to power the humidifier or an available plug for popular home or office AC outlets. This makes it versatile for journeying or if the power goes out. The distilled water cartridge, even though is 50 % littler (than that of the XL-Plus) to accommodate the battery pack. The Cigar Oasis XL-Plus comes with a full-size cartridge which allows it to last twice as long before calling for refill, notwithstanding is powered only by a frequent home or office AC outlet. Note, that both units are the same size. Also, the refill cartridge we trade may be applied on both units, however, with the Cigar Oasis XL, only without the battery pack in place.

humidors made simple!!

I have been using the cigar oasis for with regards to 1 year now. It has made my cigar maintenace a simple pleasure. The oasis has kept my humidor at 70% humidity for the entire year. I have substituted the water container 3 times so I am getting with regards to 4 months for each refill. That means including the water my total cost of maintenece has been less than $45 annually. Keep in mind that I have 1 oasis humidifying a 300 cigar humidor that is opened at least once a day. The only issue I have had is that the metal contact ends in the oasis that the power cord plugs into are very delicate. One was damaged when I moved the oasis. Luckily there are two contacts and it still functions perfectly.

Had to replace after 1 year

Right after the warranty expired it started acting erratically. Contacted manufacturer, they advised putting it in a Tupperware container for 2 – 3 minutes. Next disconnect and reconnect. None of these worked, they said if I could find it for less on EBay, go for it. I had the option of returning the unit and for $34.00 they would refurbish and return. Cannot commend this product with confidence.

Why didn’t I buy this years ago?

Oh the years I wasted using the stupid old style humidifiers, battling to keep the rectify level of humidity. This is the biggest invention since the creation of the cigar it self. I love it!!!!
