Recent production batteries…not factory surplus apparently

I’m pretty used to buying batteries online and finding they had been made long before I ordered them (had some CR123 with experations the next month from another vendor). In at least my case, my batteries from this vendor show a production date of 3/30/10…and I ordered them on April 18th. You can’t get any younger batteries (exp is Mar2016). I’ll be checking this distrbutor out for the rest of my battery needs.

Batteries, batteries, batteries!

I got these about three weeks ago, and still haven’t used them up yet. So many batteries. Awesome. So far, they’ve lasted about four times as long in my Canon digital point-and-shoot than my Energizer rechargeables. And they’re on track to outperform the regular Energizers in my Xbox controllers. I think I’m a coppertop convert. The price is pretty good, too–probably not the absolute cheapest, but these are real Duracells (not knockoffs) that are far from their expiration date.

All dead

Batteries came in two packages. I opened 1 pack and every single battery was completely dead! And no I did not put them in backwards…lol I actually looked! I put the old batteries back into the pop light that had gone dim and the light glowed, tried 4 more ‘new’ batteries and nothing. I tested the whole pack and not 1 worked. The exp date on the batteries still have a few years to go so you would think that they would have been okay. Sending back and will just buy more when I’m out shopping. I may be paying more, but at least they will work!

I’ve heard the question asked galore times before, ‘Do I genuinely need a capacitor?’ Before answering that question I ask, ‘Do you have a high powered system?’ ‘Does it require sudden power bursts?’ ‘Is your amplifier being robbed of power?’ If the answers to my questions are yes, make each venture to connect a capacitor to your car audio system.

Camcorder battery

I’ve used this battery in my JVC VHS-C camcorder for the past 8 yrs. and have been meaning to replace it for about a year now. It doesn’t really hold a charge anymore but after 8 yrs. no complaints here! I am now going to purchase another one. You can’t go wrong with the Duracell name – there are alot of off brand names out there and you can unknowingly end up with a “reconditioned” battery if you are not careful. This is a reliable battery.

- The name of this product has been changed to Duracell Rechargeables StayCharged AA Batteries. As far as I can tell, those are the same batteries previously marketed as ‘Pre-Charged’. In other parts of the world, those are also marketed as ‘Active Charge’. They are stlll available in either ‘white top’ (made in Japan) and ‘black top’ (made in China) versions.

This is how batteries should be made!

Pros:
-For a rechargeable battery, these batteries does not need to be charged before you use it for the first time; right from the packaging into your gadgets.
-They last a long time.
-Does not need special charger. You can use your existing NiMh charger.

Cons:
-You can confuse them with regular Duracells and mistakenly thrown away after losing charge.
-This later technology is still expensive.

I also like Eneloops by Sanyo. But they are not easily available at your local stores.
