 simply good enough

i have read all the reviews of this type of product and i’m sure glad i didn’t go over budget with this one. this thing is noisy for sure but not earsplitting if you are outdoor. it is slow equated to the station pump but it did a huge SUV tire in ten minutes…..not bad i say. the pressure guage is exact sufficient when i equated it to the pocket devices. but it is so light, small, easy to use and lowcost that you have to receive a few short comings. overall it does the intended occupation plainly good sufficient for me and i would suppose most humans to be satisfied also. my one concern with it is that there is no safety blow off scheme so my wife must remunerate attention for the ten minutes watching that pressure guage. then again, it is made for adults.

 Disappointing performance

I employed this for a couple of dissimilar things.
1. To top up the air in a car tire. It took a long time (over 2 mins) to go from 25psi to 34psi.
2. To fill a medium size inflatable toy. This took over 10 minutes.
The things that I liked in regards to this compressor:
1. Compact size
2. Price
Cons:
1. Extremely noisy and it vibrates a lot, causing it to move on the road due to the vibration.
2. Very slow performance (see results above)
3. Tube is actually short – in regards to 18 inches. My car has 18″ wheels and with the tire nozel at the position most eminent off the road, the tube hardly reached.
4. Only works on 12v. Would be nice if it worked on AC power as well.
5. The pressure guage is not too accurate, but plainly an approximation.
I guess you get what you compensate for, but due to the number of cons, this one is going back. I am amazed that AAA would lend their name to such a sub-standard product.

Patience Required

With gas stations charging for air I opted to by this device to maintain tire pressure and fuel economy. If you buy this gadget be patient with it. Trying to pump an automati tire from 31 to 35 psi takes when it comes to five minutes. This would not be bad except that you are not supposed to run the device for more than 15 minutes at a time or you may harm it. I am lucky to have an indoor garage to work in. I may imagine what it might be like to try to use this outdoors in the winter. It does what it claims to do, but is very slow to do it.
