The following are three of my bestloved dumbbell exercises for the chest that you may carry out at home:

Flat Bench Dumbbell Flyes

  • Lay down with your back on a bench. If you do not have a bench, you may carry out this exercise on the floor. Hold a dumbbell in each hand, arms stretched out wide to your sides with palms facing the ceiling. Keep your arms somewhat bent as you squeeze your chest and fetch the dumbbells in a “butterfly” motion towards each other.
  • Lower the dumbbells back to starting position and repeat.

Dumbbell Pullovers

  • Lay flat on your back on a bench or on the floor. Hold a dumbbell above your head with both your hands, somewhat bent. Lower the dumbbell back behind your head, without bending your arms any further than the slight bend you already have.
  • You must feel a stretch in your rib cage. If you’re on a bench, you may move the dumbbell through a more outstanding range of motion, thence working your chest more. If you do not have a bench, then find a safe way to prop yourself off the ground, even if it is for just 2-3 inches.
  • Bring the dumbbell back to starting position. Repeat as desired.

Flat Bench Dumbbell Press

  • Lay flat on your back on a bench of on the floor. Hold a dumbbell in each hand and tardily press them upwards towards the ceiling. Pause at the top, and lower them back to starting position. Repeat as desired.

Organizing your Chest Workout

I like my workouts to be simple and intense. Here are a few ideas you may use to invent your own high intensity home chest workout:

Dumbbell and Bodyweight Supersets – Choose on dumbbell exercise and one bodyweight exercise and carry out them back to back in a superset fashion.

Alternating Grips - Choose one workout and carry out it with a assortment of grips and variations. For example, for spiderman pushups, you may undertake close grip, regular grip, and wide grip.

5Life Changing Retreat

This book is so easy to read, not similar to most of Ignatius’ writings. Ravier captures the essence of Ignatius’ spirituality in lay terms and makes it accessbile without an interpreter. I didn’t know until I had the book that it’s commended you work through the retreat with a Spiritual Director. I did not do this, and it was still an splendid experience. I highly commend doing this for the duration of Lent, so that it coincides with Holy Week and Easter. This book is for humans who genuinely want to get closer to Christ and to deepen their spiritual walk, but it is work. It takes when it comes to anhour a day to do it for the most part right…about 1 1/2 hours to do it veritably right! Enjoy!
