The Classic

This is the lighter which sets the standards for all others. The pipe lighter version of the Zippo does it is occupation better than any other. I have been a pipe and cigar smoker for almost 30 years and have never been disappointed with my Zippos except for the fact that a heap of have produced legs over the years and have departed.

The pipe lighter coupled with Zippo fluid, imparts no taste or smell to the pipe tobacco. The flame is very easy to draw into a decently packed bowl. The design of the lighter is such that the pipe lighter is not a one-trick pony however. It functions just as well for cigars and cigarettes with the added bonus of being regarding to light pipes better than a established Zippo. The design likewise allows for use with candles and the like.

Finally, this is a very basic body Zippo. If you have a bestloved Zippo case, buy this lighter, and use the insert in your favored usual Zippo case.

Great way to light your pipe

I __love__ this lighter. I in truth like Zippo lighters, but with a normal Zippo it is somewhat easy to without advance planning harm the rim of your pipe’s bowl, and just feels kind of cumbersome for pipe usage. Not this one.

Because the lighter is intended for pipes, there are holes on each side of the wick. When you light it sideways over your pipe bowl, the flame goes up out of the (now top-facing) side, and when you “inhale”, the flame is pulled through the other side and straight down into your bowl. Perfectly. I feel this makes the pipe-smoking experience even more pleasurable since the difficulties of matches and BIC lighters are eliminated. Even re-lighting a reasonably deep bowl that has without advance planning gone out becomes rather easy.

If you like the look of a Zippo (who doesn’t??), this is perfectly for you. This lighter has become my gold-standard and I may without apparent effort imagine myself using it for decades to come.

I also wanted to mention that you must be wary of cheap lighter fluids. Some cheap number of things from which only one can be chosen may add unfitting flavors and/or aromas to your pipe tobacco. Avoid! Always use a high-quality lighter fluid.

Its a good-looking little lighter, and more importantly, utterly lights a tobacco pipe! The flame sits in a sure way that is exceptionally made fore your pipes. Its great.
